Screen Print

        Robert Rauchenburg.
"Booster"

Date: 1967
Medium: lithograph and screen print.
Size: 183.4 x 90.4 cm
This art screen print looks like its about a persons life. there are pictures of someones x ray of their body, charts, qoutes, maps and drawings little drawings of people in it. I like how there x ray is big and the most out standing thing in the print, i also like how he draws over the prints.I think in this image there was a drawing done below before the x ray print, with prints around and on it. then there's the red image printed right over it.

Date: 1989
Medium:screen print.
This print looks like its about earth and space. there are pictures of earth life then as you get to the top there's picture's of space. This print doesn't has as much overlaying in it. I think that the first print that was done first was the yellow then the flowers over the top, and up the top overlayed like a grid. I like the pictures that Robert Rauchenburg printed, because it looks like it tells a story between earth and space.

Portraiture painting.

Steven Allwood.
I like this portrait done Steven Allwood because of how he painted of a reflection of himself in the glasses that she's wearing. I also like the hair and that its a close up.

This is another one of Stevens All woods paintings .I like this portrait done of the hare because it looks real.

 Peter Stichbury.
I like this portrait because her skin tone looks nice and her eyes are a pretty blue colour and it stands out.
i also like this portrait because the way he paints in sharp and tidy.

This is another painting of a portrait done by peter stichbury because it is nicely painted. and the painting looks very clean.

This is my finished portrait of Nia. i used oil paint on a canvas i had put together. i also experienced with acrylic paint for the background. The colours for the flesh were hard to mix to get the right tone. I enjoyed doing the jumper and the hair because it wasn't as hard as the face. if there was anything i would change from the portrait ill do the features on the face more realistic looking.

New Zealand Painting

Natasha Shackleton.
This is a new zealand painting done by Natasha Shackleton named "beyond the canvas".
Natsha Shackleton paints kiwiana inspired art. her art works are recognised for her use of vivid colour, lighting and strong contrasts.i chose this painting to do a response to because of the birds.

This is my response to Natsasha Shackletons painting. In my response to her original painting i painted everything accept the birds and some of the plants from the front. i did this for my response to make the painting have a dead feeling with no birds and nature as to hers its more alive.
